He wouldn’t be surprised if there was real magic involved. The way Cuphead described it it sounded almost magical. Still, the disguise was worth it if it meant he got to go to the carnival. He would have to explain to them why he was alive, and then he would have to explain to his new friends just who and what he really was. He didn’t want to be recognized as a demon, and he really didn’t want to take the chance that someone might recognize him as Bendy. People would run away at just the sight of him, or sometimes even heckle him. The few times he’d been in a crowd of people before coming here it was chaos. Cuphead tried to tell him that it wasn’t necessary, that they’d beat up anyone who looked at him funny, but Bendy insisted. As a precaution he had worn one of Cuphead’s baseball caps to cover his horns, as well as a pair of his shorts so he could tuck in his tail. He would go outside but only to the forest, where no one else could see him. He had been looking forward to this day for so long! He had never been out in public, at least, not in the Inkwell Isles. After talking it up for so long the day had finally arrived.
